Marketing Tags

To track the marketing sources of your users once you have tagged your website include the parameters below when sending users to your website from a marketing source.

Url Tagging

The tags follow the Google Analytics format so most customers will not have to change their marketing urls to begin to see user's tagged by marketing source.

Use the URL builder below to build an example marketing URL. All parameters are optional.

utm_sourceUse utm_source to identify a search engine, newsletter name, or other source.
utm_mediumUse utm_medium to identify a medium such as email or cost-per- click.
utm_contentUsed for A/B testing and content-targeted ads. Use utm_content to differentiate ads or links that point to the same URL.
utm_campaignUsed for keyword analysis. Use utm_campaign to identify a specific product promotion or strategic campaign.
utm_termUsed for paid search. Use utm_term to note the keywords for this ad.
